Post-War Prosperity

After the war, Yurga grew together with the factory.

City status: 1949 — city of district subordination, 1953 — regional.

The machine-building plant became a city-forming giant. In parallel, the trust “Yurgapromstroy” built: schools, cultural centers, cinema, medical facilities, sports complexes, residential quarters.

In the 1960s, large-panel construction boom begins, the city becomes modern. And in the 1960s, a second giant rises — the abrasive factory.
